Upgrade

1) BR-LR-NILM-noHW to RT-HR-NILM-HW

Description

This is an upgrade that allows end-users that have BR LR service type to onboard NET2GRID HW with HR data.

Unlocked features & functionality

• Real time data availability through the CE-API
• Real time data availability through the B2B streaming interface
• Real time alerting available (consumption thresholds, capacity peaks, power thresholds, battery level monitoring)
• Timely generation of disaggregation reports compared to the datahub integration
• High resolution NILM services provided including
  • Appliance Events detection
  • Appliance Efficiency detection

Notes & dependencies

• The HR disaggregation services (category disaggregation, solar production, insights, appliance events detection, recommendations etc.) follow the training process starting from the 1st day at which HR data were available (after onboarding).
• Hence, for the appliance events detection to detect time-based appliances; the relevant training phase needs to be completed first (duration of a few days).
• The HR disaggregation reports are ingested and become available via CE-API endpoints after the 1st day of the next month after onboarding the device. During the month of the onboarding, the disaggregation reports available are based on the file-based input feed of the installation.
• Monthly capacity peak calculation will be based on the HR feed starting from the next month after the onboarding of the device and not immediately after onboarding.
• For datahub integrations, the data retrieval will continue as long as the consent from the end-user remains in place (if applicable) & will be available via CE-API.

2) RT-LR-NILM-HW to RT-HR-NILM-HW

Description

This is an upgrade that modifies the resolution of data that is applicable for the installation and therefore unlocks additional NILM services.

Unlocked features & functionality

HR NILM services provided including

• Appliance Events detection
• Appliance Efficiency report

Notes & dependencies

• The HR disaggregation services (category disaggregation, solar production, insights, appliance events detection, recommendations etc.) follow the training process starting from the 1st day at which high resolution data were available (after onboarding).
• This means that for the appliance events detection to detect time-based appliances the relevant training phase needs to be completed first (duration of a few days).
• During the first days after the switch, the disaggregation provided will be statistical.
• The HR disaggregation reports are ingested and become available as soon as they are produced (almost immediately) and no data inconsistency is applicable since the source of measurements is the same before and after the upgrade.
• Monthly capacity peak calculation will not be disrupted.

Downgrade

1) RT-HR-NILM-HW to RT-LR-NILM-HW

Description

This is the downgrade functionality from high resolution to flexible reporting.

Impact

• Appliance events & appliance efficiencies report will no longer be generated
• The amount of data in the platform will be reduced and therefore the cost of the platform

Notes & dependencies

• The platform will trigger a retraining process so that the Low resolution reports are available from the next day of the change.
• The training phase that the installation will be into has to do with the total duration for which the device was online, so it will be the same as before the change.
